Abstract

This paper presents a solution approach for obtaining compromise optimal solution of fully fuzzy multi-objective solid transportation problems. All the parameters and variables involved in decision model presented in this paper are assumed to be fuzzy numbers. The fuzzy objective functions and equality constraints are defuzzified by applying the ranking function and the property of equality between fuzzy numbers, respectively. The crisp multi-objective problem is then converted into single objective problem by using weighted sum approach. This approach can solve the fully fuzzy multi-objective solid transportation problems very easily, as the presented approach involves comparatively simple computations. In order to illustrate the proposed approach, a numerical example is solved at the end.
